Manaslu Trekking

Manaslu trekking falls among the most scenic and fascinating trekking trails in the western region of the geographically vibrant Nepal. The Manaslu trekking takes to the eighth highest peak of the world, Mt. Manaslu at 8163m.

Manaslu region opens up to a view of a variety of magnificent peaks and ranges as well as the beautiful flora and fauna along the trail. Manaslu which means the spirit-mountain is regarded to be a holy deity residing in the strong domain of the mountain. The Manaslu circuit falls in the east of Annapurna Himalayan range.

The restricted area of Manaslu region was pen to trekking in 1992 AD and has been one of the favorite trekking spots for nature lovers. Permission from the authorities must be taken before entering the Manaslu region for trekking. The Annapurna Coservation Area Permit, Manaslu Conservation Area Project Permit as well as Restricted Area Permit must be taken before the trekking begins.

The Manaslu region offers a mesmerizing and spectacular view of the panoramic snow covered Annapurna Masstiff and the Dhaulagiri peaks. On the backdrop of the Manaslu region is the beautiful Ganesh Himal as well. The up close view of the SamdoHimal, Nirekha, Saula, and Khyang can be seen through the trek.

The Manaslu Trekking route begins from Arughat and leads eventually towards MachaKhola. The Manaslu trekking has become one of the most famous teahouse style trekking. The trek leads to SamaGaun which has very warm Gurung locals residing in the area. The Manaslu Trekking route takes to the the swift flowing Budhi Gandaki river along the way to the Lrkya La Pass which is the highest point of the trek.

It is known to be challenging and demanding sine there are probabilities of storms. There are four frozen lakes which lie below which is equally mesmerizing. The rugged terrain leads to the Buddhist valley influenced by the Tibet culture.

The Manaslu region is home to a wide range of flora and fauna and wildlife like the snow leopard, grey wolf, blue sheep, Himalayan Thar, and more. The brilliant scenes of HimlungHimal, Kangurru, and Annapurna II are observed beautifully. The trek eventually leads to Dusdh Koshi which is the tributary of the Marsyangdi.

The Manaslu Trekking requires good adequate equipment and backpackers to reach to the Mt. Manaslu since the trekking takes at an altitude above 3000m. Manaslu trekking covers the huge mountains and hold the flora fauna and wildlife which it why it is a nature lovers paradise.
