Today, you will land at Tribhuvan Airport in Kathmandu. Our representative will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. You’ll rest and recover from your flight this day.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Kathmandu Valley’s sacred places like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Swyambhunath too, if time allows. Side by side, your China visa preparation work is going on.

Another day to explore Kathmandu. Today, you’ll explore Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square for ancient temples and arts. Your visa documents will be clear today. Check your packing list and buy if you need any one. Overnight, you’ll be back at your hotel and get a good sleep before an adventure.

Drive Duration: 7-8 hours

After an early breakfast, your journey starts on a comfortable tourist bus or a private jeep. The drive is through the hills, terraced fields, and river valleys. You’ll reach Timure, near the Rasuwagadhi border, in the evening.

Today, you’ll cross the bridge to China’s Kerung border. Then meet your Tibetan guide and transfer to Kerung. After a short drive to Kerung, you’ll rest for that day.

In Kerung, the altitude starts to climb, so today is important to adjust slowly. You can take a light walk around Kerung town. Stay hydrated and no big activities to let your body settle.

Drive duration: 5-6 hrs

From Kerung, start the scenic drive to Saga. The road climbs gradually with stunning mountain views. You’ll reach Saga in the evening, which is a big town with a bigger guesthouse.

Drive duration: 7-8hrs

This is a long day, but a rewarding drive. You’ll head towards the sacred Lake Mansarovar, passing Paryang, which is a big land with amazing views of mountains behind it. By late afternoon, you’ll see the holy Lake Mansarovar, which is one of the biggest freshwater lakes in the world. It is believed that when you take a bath in that lake, it cleanses your sins. You’ll stay overnight at the nearby guesthouse.

Drive Duration: 2-3 hrs

Wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise over Mansarovar. After that, you can take a bath or perform puja. After a light breakfast, explore the area around Chiu Monastery. Then you’ll take a drive to Darchen, which is also the base village for the Kailash Kora.

Trek Duration: 5-6 hrs

Today, your Kailash Parikrama starts. Drive a short distance to Yam Dwar, the gateway to the Kora. Then your trek begins. The trek is about 12-15km along rocky trails and beautiful valleys, with the stunning north face of Mt. Kailash in view. Then, stay overnight at a basic guest house.

Today, you can do an optional hike to Charan Sparsh to touch Shiva’s feet. The trail is tougher, but definitely worth it. After this, return to Dirapuk by afternoon and have dinner at the same tea house.

Trek Duration: 8-9hrs

This is the toughest yet rewarding day of your trip. After an early breakfast, start your trek up to Drolma La Pass, which is the highest point of the Kora at 5,630m. You need to climb up slowly and calmly. Reach Zutulpuk Monastery by late afternoon. And, overnight at a guest house with basic rooms and a warm dinner.

Today, you’ll finish the last leg of the Parikrama with a short trek back to Darchen. Then drive back to Saga. By the evening, you’ll reach Saga.

After your breakfast, today you’ll drive back to Kerung. Complete Chinese exit formalities, cross the border to Rasuwagadi, and drive back to Kathmandu.
