The 14 days trek around the Annapurna range is a grand one. As we embark on one of the fascinating treks in the Western Himalayas we reach locations such as Thorang La pass (5,416m), Muktinath and Jomson. The ecstatic view of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m) keeps the trekkers at bay. We also move alongside the Kali Gandaki gorge- the world's deepest gorge as we explore the beautiful Annapurna region.
This trek is suitable for beginner and moderate trekkers, however, the ecstasy to avid trekkers will be no less remarkable. Trekkers will travel through the Manang Valley and through the lushness of Rhododendron forest.
Our representative will pick you up from Tribhuwan International Airport and will transfer you to your Hotel. You will be briefed about the trek and all the necessary materials needed. Rest of the evening you can roam around the city and enjoy the nightlife.
After breakfast, we will drive to BesiShahar (Lamjung) which is 185km away from the valley. Beautiful mountains, waterfalls, hills and rivers will accompany us through this ride. Reaching BesiShahar we will spend the night at a guesthouse. Approximately 6 hours of drive. Breakfast included.
This is where our trek starts by foot. From BesiShahar, we trek through various traditional Nepali villages. Through the subtropical forest we, ascend to the village of Khudi. Crossing the steep climb, we reach the village of Bhulbhule walking along the bank of Marsyangdi River. The view of the majestic Mt. Manaslu (8,156m) keeps us company. We come across a long suspension bridge over NgadiKhola and the trail leads us to the village of Bahundanda. Approximately 7 hours of walk. BLD included.
Descending through the slippery trail we come to a small hot spring. Then we climb steeply and cross the cliff. The path goes downhill and descending the path we reach Jagat- the stone village in the heart of the Marsyandi Valley. We move uphill and downhill and finally reach the village of Chamje. We stay overnight at a guest house. Approximately 6 hours of walk. BLD included.
After breakfast, we continue our trek through the bamboo and rhododendron forests. The village of Tal (1,700m) will be accessible as we cross the forests. Then we come across a 60meter suspension bridge over the MarsyangdiRiver. Annapurna II becomes visible. Going uphill we reach Bagarchap- a village with Tibetan architecture and prayer flags. We continue to climb and cross the oak and pine forests and reach Danaque (2,201m). Following the course, we, cross a small wooden bridge and reach Timang Village at the bottom of LamjungHimal. Few stretches and we reach Chame. Approximately 6-7 hours of walk. BLD included.
After breakfast, we walk through the dense forest and alongside the Marsyangdi River. The view of LamjungHimal (6,893m) will keep you company for a while. Here, we view the beautiful meadow land and the snowy Mountains. Ascending some with the view of the mighty Annapurna II and another mountain at our disposal we reach the village of Pisang. We climb the steep ridge from where we can see the view of the Tilicho peak (7,145m) and also our day's destination- The Manang Valley. We cross the level area with Annapurna III at our side and reach SabjeKhola Valley from where we can view the beautiful Annapurna IV (7,525m). Trekking alongside Marsyangdi River we reach the village of Mungji. A steep climb and finally we reach Manang and we rest here. Approximately 5-6 hours of walk. BLD included.
Thin air may pose a threat when you are this high. So, we take a day rest. However, you can opt to hike above the village for the view of Manang valley and Annapurna range. You can also take an educational visit in Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) and Gangapurna Glacier. Or, you can just roam around and get familiar with other people. BLD included.
After breakfast, we, trek upward to the Thorung La pass. Moving alongside Juniper and alpine grass we cross the open field. The view of sheep and Yak grazing is something else that's worth of a good snap. Approximately 4-5 hours of walk. BLD included.
From Letdar we climb uphill to the east bank of Jaran River. We cross a wooden bridge after descending to the headwaters of MarsyangdiKhola. Moving along the mountain path we reach ThorangPhedi. Again we ascend to the Thorang High camp where we stop for the day. Approximately 5-6 hours of walk. BL D included.
On this day we reach the highest point of our journey. Strong winds may prove to be posing some difficulty in Thorang La for smooth trekking so we start this day rather early. We follow the steep trail and reach the Thorang La Pass. At the pass, we can observe many traditional prayer flags and stone monuments. The majestic view of the Annapurna range becomes visible. Dhaulagiri Mountain keeping you company. Muktinath is famous pilgrimage and trekkers and is home to Lord Vishnu and has 108 water sprouts making it a beautiful view. Pay your respect to the gods and hope for a wishful life. This is our stop of the day. Approximately 7-8 hours of walk. BLD included.
Through the meadows, streams we move down along the banks of Kali Gandaki Gorge to the beautiful village of Kagbeni which is blessed with Tibetan culture. Praying flags and artistic mud houses is one of the sights to behold. Continuing downhill we reach Jomsom. Approximately 4-5 hours of walk. BLD included.
After breakfast, we take a flight to Pokhara. This marks the end of the journey so you can use the entire day for sightseeing around Pokhara. With the pubs, restaurants and the interesting nightlife, there is nothing better place to put the stop to your journey. Approximately 30 minutes flight to Pokhara. Breakfast included
