Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport. Our representative will pick you up and transfer you to your Hotel. Rest for today and prepare for the upcoming adventure.

Today you can explore some cultural sites of Nepal, i.e., Pashupatinath, Swyambhunath, Boudhanath, etc. Do the last minute shopping and walk around Kathmandu. In the evening, our guide will brief your trek to Mera Peak in short.

Flight distance: 35 minutes

Trek distance: 8 km / 5 miles, 5-6 hrs

Take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla early in the morning. Then start your trek through Sherpa village. After some hours of trek, you’ll reach Puyan, where you’ll stay overnight.

Trek Distance: 6 km / 3.7 miles, 3-4 hrs

After Breakfast, your trek starts from Puyan and ends at Pangum. You’ll walk through the beautiful rhododendron forests and cross suspension bridges. Also, you’ll spot mountain birds and yak pastures along the trekking route.

Today, your trek is through alpine meadows, rustic villages, and terraced fields. This day is less strenuous. Also, the views of distant snow-capped peaks start to appear. You’ll stay overnight at Ningsow.

Now, the trails start getting steeper, surrounded by pine and birch forests. Also, cross small bridges and streams. The stunning Himalayan Peaks start feeling closer. You will start getting the first glimpses of Mera Peak and the surrounding glaciers.

The trails is steeper with rocky paths and glacier streams. Khare is the last settlement before reaching Mera Peak.  With the magnificent views of the Kusum Kanguru, Baruntse, Kyashar, Kongde Ri, and many other adjoining mountains, we will move forward. After walking sometimes, you’ll reach Khare for the night.

After the long trek from Thangnak to Khare, today is a rest day to allow your body to get used to the high altitude before the Higher climb. This day is for both your physical and mental preparation. We walk through moraine and glacier trails, small crevasses, and rocky paths. We keep moving towards Mera La Pass on a rugged trail that leads us to the Mera Peak High Camp (5,300 m). From here, the Himalayas unfold, Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Nuptse, and more. This is the heart of the Mera Peak Climbing itinerary, where the journey and the views prove why Mera is called the highest trekking peak in Nepal.

Trek Distance: 10 km / 6.2 miles round-trip, 9-11 hrs

This is the day when you reach the summit. We’ll begin the Mera Peak climb at 3 am, tackling steep trails with fixed ropes when needed. From the Mera Peak summit (6,476m), stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Kanchenjunga, and Nuptse unfold. Then we descend back to Khare for an overnight stay at the lodge.

This is an extra day in case of bad weather, if we are not able to reach the summit on the scheduled day. This day is not required if everything goes smoothly.

After breakfast, we will descend through valleys, past yak pastures and alpine forests, and reach Kothe. While descending, you’ll see beautiful Himalayan scenery.

Today’s descent is through the scenic trails, local villages, and small rivers. The trekking is peaceful with panoramic mountain views.
