Trekking to Everest Base Camp has always been my dream since childhood. When I finally decided to go to Nepal with my family, we went on a trek to the world's Tallest Mountain, i.e., Mount Everest. This Everest Base Camp family trek was definitely challenging because I had my parents and kids with me. My kids are energetic and curious, while my parents are active. So, all of us enjoyed this adventure. 

The trekking route of Everest Base Camp is through pine forests, suspension bridges, and a peaceful walking trail. We also explored the monasteries and beautiful villages along the route. 

Stunning views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Everest always made our day the best. With our helpful guide, this trek felt even better. 

This 14-day Everest Base Camp family trek was full of adventure, but we completed this trek without compromising our comfort. We booked our trip with a travel company in Thamel. Our Journey during the Everest Base Camp Family Trek

Our Everest Base Camp family-friendly Trek was 14 days. We began it on a crisp morning with a Kathmandu to Lukla flight. From Lukla, the actual trek started. Trekking trail was fresh and green, and my parents admired the prayer flags fluttering in the wind. The view we saw of stunning Ama Dablam and other tall mountains were heart-warming.

We walked through the beautiful villages like Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche and Lobuche. We also hiked from Namche Bazzar to Everest View Hotel for the best photography in Everest Base Camp route.  

We also had two acclimatization day, so that we get used to the high altitude air. When we reach Lobuche, Everest was getting closer. After a long day of walk we reached Everest Base Camp together. This trek felt emotional. Kids were jumping, parents had tears in their eyes. We had done it finally, together, as a family. Here, our Everest Base Camp Family Trek was successful.

Then we came the say way back to Gorakshep. We choosed Everest Base Camp Helicopter return trek for extra comfort. Then we flew back to Kathmandu with the scenic Helicopter Flight. This trek was something that we can not express in feelings. Me and my family got even more closer.  We created memories together for life-time.

Altitude was tougher than we expected, it really tested us. The higher we went, the thinner air became, and altitude safety for Childern in EBC became the real priority.
